Paycheck Protection Program
Small businesses can begin applying for the newly-replenished Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) starting Monday, April 27 at 7:30am. In total, $310 billion in funding has been earmarked for the PPP to help local businesses stay afloat and keep their employees on payroll, and an additional $60 billion in disaster loans. Anyone who has not yet applied and is eligible is encouraged to do so as soon as possible.
 
The formal announcement came Friday, April 24 from U.S. Small Business Administrator Jovita Carranza and U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin.
 
Businesses that have not yet applied are encouraged to submit their application through an approved participating lender. California is listed on pages 34-58. For a PPP calculator, click here.
