Some Tax Deadlines Extended (But Not All)The State of California and the IRS have pushed income tax filing and payment deadlines to July 15th. California property taxes will still be due by April 10th. Employers directly affected by COVID-19 may request up to a 60-day extension from the EDD to file state payroll taxes.
New Employer Obligations Under Revised Families First ActPresident Trump signed into law H.R. 6201, which expands protection benefits for employees of businesses with fewer than 500 employees to be provided two weeks of paid sick leave as well as up to 12 weeks of protected leave to care for themselves or a family member affected by COVID-19.
