About the Speaker:
Leticia Lozano's career with the Employment Development Department (EDD) includes 17 years working in the Unemployment Program and the last 5 years in our Tax Payers Educational Program. Leticia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from California State University at Fullerton, and a California Secondary Teaching Credential.
About the topic:
Starting your own company and want to get a better understanding of employment taxes and the nonprofit organization. Please join us for this two hour seminar put on by the EDD( Employment Development Department). Topics covered will include: How and when to report State payroll taxes, Methods of financing unemployment insurance, Special exclusions for nonprofit organizations, and Resources for properly classifying workers as employees and independent contractors.
