She~ality: Into the Heart of a Woman
“She couldn’t believe it. Right there. In the middle of nowhere. A window had popped up. With the most incredible view. She checked. No bars. It looked real. Blue skies. Amber waves of grain. A farm house off to the left. After years of being stuck in the barn. With no windows. And no doors. And now? At first she didn’t quite know what to do. She looked all around. There was no one. The coast was clear. She opened the window. Climbed out. And ran! She ran. And she ran. And she ran. And she never looked back again…” ~ The Birth of She~ality, where a woman created her own reality, to get her own answers, when the world of men failed to do it for her. (Introduction fromShe~ality: Into the Heart of a Woman)
This is about us as women throughout history. The doors and windows were shut for them. But now the doors and windows are opening. Start making things happen! Start learning the skills to deal with people who are going to set up road blocks as you do. And don’t look back. As women and girls become more successful and knowledgeable, they find road blocks from every side; especially when they not only seek to improve themselves, but the emotional environments around them. We are by our very natures, “agents of change” and nurturers; and to change things requires courage and skill in dealing with people who do not want change, or who specifically do not want YOU to change and evolve.
She~ality’s motto, “Raise up Women, Raise up the World”, is a call to action and improvement. One of the biggest road blocks and difficulties to improving ourselves and our environments, are those who use toxic behavior to emotionally and mentally harm people to control them and keep them subjugated. These toxic people who act out when you try to use time and resources to better yourself, are afraid of the loss of power, one -up-man-ship, and control they have over you. And if you seek to improve the environment, including the request that they improve their behavior, they begin to use mental games and emotional pain to make your progress stop. Does any of this sound familiar?
Join us Wednesday, December 4 at 11:30am at the Sizzler Restaurant (1461 Rimpau Avenue), where the Greater Corona Valley Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the City of Corona, presents “She~ality: Into the Heart of a Woman” as part of the Women’s Leadership Luncheon series. Our special guest is Christy Parker, author, founder and owner of She~ality, a new company whose mission is to ennoble women and girls to make the world a better place by gaining the knowledge, skills and resources they need to do so. Christy has a degree in Behavior Studies with a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership. Her education, leadership positions over the last 20 years, along with years of research, have helped her to develop tactics and strategies for dealing with difficult toxic people, with simple steps that are easy to remember. She is consistently successful in coaching individuals and groups in how to diplomatically and ethically deal with toxic people who set up road blocks to changes that bring success and happiness to others around them. Learn how to stop your fight or flight response in difficult situations, get around manipulation and control with greater ease, and bravely set boundaries that create healthier interpersonal relationships.
In order to raise ourselves up as women, and the environments around us, we need to intelligently and wisely choose who to allow into our lives to facilitate moral support in our chosen endeavors. We need to develop the skills to deal with dysfunctional relationships, and learn how to take an active role in discerning, designing and shaping those relationships, instead of passively being held hostage by them or becoming toxic in return. The key to overcoming bitterness, anxiety, depression and despair as we incrementally evolve as women, who push open doors and lift open windows of opportunity, is to become incrementally more vigilant, discerning and pro-active in defining and shaping our relationships. Come learn how to develop healthier relationships and environments that are mutually beneficial, reciprocal and respectful.
