Iman Abdel-Aal is an American of Egyptian descent, and retired elementary school teacher living in Huntington Beach with her husband of 32 years and their two daughters. Since it's inception in 2001, Iman has been an active member of "S.T.E.P" (Sisters Together Envisioning Peace), an interfaith organization made up of women from different religions and backgrounds. Iman travels to Egypt annually to visit family and most recently returned from Egypt this past September after witnessing the second wave of the Egyptian revolution to oust President Mohamed Morsi. She will take us on a journey to explore the brief history of the Egyptian struggle towards democracy.
