Description
At our inaugural banquet, we will be honoring Wayne Keith for his earth-moving dedication to the Ridge.
Did you know that Wayne got so frustrated with the city in getting the first building started that he rented a BobCat and leveled the ground himself?! We like movers and shakers!
The banquet starts at 5:30pm at Eagle Glen Golf Course. Our master of ceremonies will be Congressman Ken Calvert. Cocktail attire is requested. Tickets for the banquet are only $85 each.
Peppermint Ridge provides a home with loving care for our clients 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Some of our clients have no family, or their families can no longer either financially or physically provide for them. Peppermint Ridge has an urgent need for additional funding for our clients.
The California Department of Health Services has been trying for several years to reduce our funding, and has succeeded in getting permission from Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to enact a complex formula that would reduce funding by different amounts for different homes. The impact on The Ridge would be $100,000 this year, and at least $70,000 a year in the future. This reduction will impair our ability to provide the high level of care and the extra TLC that to the Ridge, is the only way to operate with integrity and respect.
