Description
The Economic Briefing is an annual look at the state of the American economy: data, trends and emerging insights around entrepreneurship, corporate growth, technology transfer and changing workforce demographics. Our guest speaker is Mo Collins, an international trainer and new economy specialist.
Over the past two decades, the Internet and technology innovation have been the drivers of profound and fundamental change in our lives. Our planet, economy and community life have shifted in ways leaders a single generation ago would not have thought possible.
Join us as we go beyond the numbers to discuss ideas, programs and thinking that will drive the next phase of economic and community leadership. The morning session will look at the role of entrepreneurship, technology transfer and ‘fast follow’ business growth in new economy economic development.
The afternoon session features a special, panelist-led discussion around current and future workforce needs and trends, and talent attraction initiatives in Southern California. Workforce panelists include: Dr. Debra Mustain, Dean Community Partnerships and Workforce Development NORCO College, Leslie Trainor, Deputy Director Riverside County Workforce and Economic Development, Mary Jo Ramirez, Executive Director, California Family Life Center and Russell Best, Cluster Manager, California Employment Development Department.
