Description
Each year, the program participants of the Corona Chamber of Commerce’s Executive Leadership Roundtable (ELR) select a community impact project to improve and enhance the City of Corona. The yearly impact project reflects the values and passions of the individual members within each class and their particular approach to making a difference within the community.
For the 2023 program, participants have elected to create an employment mentorship opportunity for our city’s youth to connect them with businesses from the manufacturing community within the city. The event aims to provide our youth with information about future employment opportunities within the city and to help them make personal connections with individual businesses that could be leveraged for employment opportunities after they graduate from high school. At a minimum, youth participants will be provided with information about various community labor sectors and their employment potential in the future locally here in Corona.
The project consists of a dinner event where invited youth from the Corona Norco Unified School District will share an evening with local industry representatives, who will highlight their businesses while being introduced to tomorrow’s talent. It is expected that this will be a fun and informative event for all involved. As indicated, the evening event will include dinner for all participants, inclusive of a presentation from the ELR class on the value of mentoring and connecting with today’s youth, who will be tomorrow's employees.
Please note that this is not a ticketed event, however if you would like to donate to this project, you may do so by registering and selecting a donation amount.
