About the speakers:
For the past 10 years, Kathy has been an equal shareholder at DIA, a contract manufacturing company serving public utilities, with the passion for creating meaningful jobs and improving U.S. Mfg. She believes that everyone has the potential to be a leader if given the chance and proper training.
Kathy has worked in various industries including Academia, Information Technology, Semiconductor, and Medical devices. She holds an MBA from Cal State Fullerton.
She is proud of being an involved parent to her 14-year old daughter and 12-year old son. Her goal is to promote education at any age and raise public awareness for U.S. manufacturing.
She participated in the 2019-2020 ELR class and volunteered her time with the group raising funds to coordinate the expansion of services provided to our active military passing through the Bob Hope USO.
Jon has 29 years of experience working in manufacturing in a variety of industries including automotive components, large industrial equipment, high volume stamping, and products for public utilities. A Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona and an MBA from Cal State Fullerton provided a foundation for various engineering, continuous improvement, and plant leadership positions. In 2008 Jon co-founded Do It American MFG Company with the express goal of providing a great place to work and proving that manufacturing can be done more competitively in the United States than overseas. Being an entrepreneur was never in the plan. There were three significant career events led him to the entrepreneur path, and once bitten! There is no other option. Tune in to hear the story!
