- More Than PB & J (Peanut Butter and Jelly) Community Service Project.
- In short, funds raised through this Bar B Que (Drive Thru) event, will benefit the USO at March Air Reserve Base. The base has provided a new facility (about 3 years old) that was earmarked for the Bob Hope USO. Unfortunately with various construction costs, some of the ‘essential’ items including commercial grade refrigeration, freezers, stove, oven etc. were omitted.
- Additionally, the group is seeking funds for Wi-Fi which enable ,-000 users at a single time. Literacy outreach program which will video record the soldier reading a book to their child, and that video and book will be sent to the child for viewing daily. There are many other elements being included in this 'Community Outreach Project".
- This Bar B Que (Drive Thru) will be a way for the community to show their support for our troops. It is estimated that over 100,000 troops will travel in and out of March this year.
- Currently, each military personnel receives the iconic Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich.
- This fund raiser will assist in providing additional options for our men and women in uniform who are defending our Freedoms.
- There are an anticipated count of 100,000 troops that will travel through the March Air Reserve Base, either coming home, or deploying to protect our Freedoms - they deserve more than PB&J!
