About the speaker:
Dr. Lin received his doctorate degree in Institutional Management from Pepperdine University; M.S. in Educational Administration from California State University, Fullerton; and his B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
Dr. Lin has worked in public education for 26 years. He began his career as an aerospace engineer before transition to teaching high school mathematics. He has served as a coach, site administrator and human resources officer for over 20 years. He came to CNUSD in 2008 as the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources and was promoted to Deputy Superintendent in 2011, then Superintendent in 2012.
Dr. Lin is among exemplary school superintendents recognized for his leadership in helping transition his district to digital learning as well as strategic alignment of school initiatives that are student centered. In 2015, Dr. Lin was named one of fifteen Education Week?s Leaders to Learn from recognizing forward thinking district leaders who are working to enact and inspire change in our nation?s public schools. He was chosen as the 2014 Association of California School Administrators Riverside County Superintendent of the Year for his significant contributions to education. He was also selected by President Obama and the U.S. Department of Education as one of 100 top school leaders from across America to participate in the inaugural National Connected Superintendents Summit at the White House.
About the emcee:
Cyndi Monroe is the Founder/Artistic Director for CAT of Corona. Building CAT into a thriving place where kids and their parents can experience the performing arts in a healthy, safe and fun place has been a passion that has grown over the past 19 years. Additionally, Cyndi is a writer, playwright, award-winning director and occasionally, she still ventures on to the stage to perform. Her most recent screenplay, False Hopes is in post-production with a planned opening in early 2018. Cyndi is a proud member of Soroptimist International of Corona where she has served as past-President and she was honored to be chosen as the Corona Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year in 2017 but mostly, Cyndi loves being ?Grammies? to her 3 adorable grand kids: Noah, Brooklyn and Sedona.
