Description
Located 45 miles south of Salt Lake City in Provo, Utah, Brigham Young University (BYU) welcomes a daytime enrollment of more than 33,000 students as one of the nation’s largest private universities. BYU students come from all 50 states and more than 100 different countries. Sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, BYU is recognized for its extensive language programs, talented performing arts ensembles, outstanding sports programs and devotion to combining solid scholarship with the principles of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.
BYU Athletics is a nationally recognized program with 21 intercollegiate sports involving more than 600 student-athletes. BYU sports teams collectively have helped the Cougars average a Directors' Cup ranking of No. 31 nationally since the annual measure of the nation’s best overall athletics programs began in 1993-94. Over the past 40 years, BYU’s football program ranks No. 5 in the country in total victories.
A tradition now it its fifth year, BYU Fan Fest events are conducted at various locations across the country each spring, giving fans and community members the opportunity to meet and interact with BYU coaches and athletes in their local area. BYU concludes this year’s Fan Fest schedule on Saturday, June 3, in Corona, California at Santana Regional Park (598 Santana Way, Corona, California 92881) from 12-2:30 p.m. PDT
Fan Fest attendees will have the opportunity to get autographs and take photos with coaches and student-athletes representing BYU football, men’s and women’s basketball, women’s soccer, women’s volleyball and women’s gymnastics, while also enjoying various games and festivities such as face painting, inflatables, team posters and other BYU prizes. BYU Store fan merchandise and food concessions will also be available.
